Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SortedNexus is operated by ShellRick Tech Pty Ltd, a South African company. These terms govern your use of SortedNexus (sortednexus.co.za) and apply to anyone using the free tools or a paid subscription.

2. Subscriptions and billing

Starter and Pro are monthly subscriptions billed in advance via PayFast. Each billing cycle covers the month starting from your payment date, not the calendar month. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.

Upgradestake effect immediately: you get access to the higher tier straight away, and any previous subscription is cancelled so you're never billed on two plans at once.

Downgrades and cancellationsstop future billing immediately, but do not refund the period you've already paid for. You keep your current tier's access until that period ends, then your account switches automatically to the lower tier (or Free).

3. No refunds, no proration

We don't offer refunds or partial credit for unused time on a subscription, whether you cancel, downgrade, or delete your account partway through a billing period. Any time remaining on a period you've already paid for is forfeited once you cancel it. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us and we'll look into it.

4. Account deletion

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, it's cancelled at the same time your account is deleted, under the same no-refund terms as section 3: you lose access immediately and forfeit any remaining paid period.

Your invoices are anonymised rather than deleted, since South African tax law requires financial records to be kept for 5 years and your clients may hold copies as their own business records. Your profile, client list, and everything else tied to your account is deleted outright.

5. Free tier

Anonymous users can generate up to 3 invoices per month at no cost, no account required. Free tools such as the VAT calculator are unlimited and never require a subscription. We may change what's included in the free tier, but won't reduce it without notice on this page.

6. What SortedNexus is not

SortedNexus helps you generate invoices, quotes, and financial summaries, but it isn't a substitute for a qualified accountant or tax practitioner. The Annual Financial Summary is a draft for your accountant's use, not a CIPC filing, and we don't verify that VAT numbers are registered with SARS. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for meeting your own tax and compliance obligations.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use SortedNexus to create fraudulent invoices, misrepresent a business, or process payments for anything illegal. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.

8. Liability

SortedNexus is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, ShellRick Tech Pty Ltd isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including errors in documents you generate or decisions made based on them.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes affecting billing or cancellation will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
